What is hydroponics?
Hydroponics is a cultivation method where plants grow in water with nutrients, without the use of soil. The plant is placed in a cultivation pot with slots, filled with expanded clay pebbles. These clay pellets provide stability to the plant and also retain water, allowing the roots to gradually absorb nutrients. When placed in a planter, a water meter is added that accurately monitors the water level hanks to the hydroponics method.
-
What are the advantages of hydroponics?
- More accurate watering
- Easy to maintain
- Longer lifespan
- Less chance of pests
- No need for repotting
- Only needs watering once or twice a month
-
What is the difference between soil plants and hydro plants?
The plants themselves are identical. The main difference lies in the root ball, the type of cultivation pot, and the material with which it is filled. A soil plant will have a cultivation pot with several holes at the bottom, filled with soil and possibly other materials. A hydro plant has a cultivation pot with slots. The roots are surrounded by hydro pellets, giving them enough space to spread out.
-
What are water meters?
A water meter is a device used to monitor the water level in the plant’s container. It consists of a float that moves up and down with the water level. This meter indicates three levels: minimum, optimum, and maximum. Depending on the plant type, location, temperature, and other factors, you can decide to which level you water the plant. This provides an accurate measurement of the water status, allowing you to supply water for an entire month for most plants.

What are the options for greenery in the office?
There are various possibilities to green your office. Our specialty mainly lies in hydroponic office plants, which come directly from our own greenhouses. This greenery can be delivered in planters from our suppliers or custom-made planters.
Even for limited spaces, there are plentiful options. If there is enough light, you can opt for a green wall, a real eye-catcher in your office environment. Do you have a dark corner that could use some greenery or want a special project with your logo incorporated? Then you can go for artificial plant walls or moss walls. Additionally, you can opt for moss paintings, which are very easy and quick to hang.
If you have ample space and dream of a jungle in your office, an indoor garden might be something for you. Dividers are also ideal for separating or brightening up spaces.
For those who love flowers such as orchids, we provide blooming plants that are regularly replaced depending on the contract.
For true Christmas enthusiasts, we gladly bring greenery indoors during the Christmas season with our themed Christmas trees and decorations. We deliver and install these, ensuring you are completely taken care of.

How can I green my office with Nature at Work?
We meet
Contact us via the contact page and share your ideas and contact details. The sales team will then get in touch with you to discuss the next steps. Usually, our sales team visits your office to discuss your greenery wishes. This way, we can create a customized proposal that seamlessly fits your office.
We design
We create a quote and illustration tailored to your wishes, considering factors such as light and space in your office. This can, of course, be adjusted as desired.
We implement
Once the quote is fully approved and the order is placed, we schedule the delivery. Our production team ensures everything is ready for delivery. Then, our delivery team comes to your office to install everything and perform the initial maintenance.
We maintain
Depending on your contract, our greenkeeper will visit monthly. The greenkeeper takes care of the plants by watering, pruning, nourishing, and ensuring they look neat. Additionally, they check if any plants need to be replaced. Our greenkeepers are always available to advise you about your plants.
-
What is your delivery time?
We strive to deliver within 4 to 6 weeks. Thanks to our own greenhouse, where we cultivate 450 types of houseplants using hydroponics, we can quickly respond to plant needs.
-
What if my plants die?
Our plant service includes a comprehensive insurance by default. The on-site greenkeeper will check the plants and first try to resolve any treatable pest or water issues. If this is not possible, such as in cases of root rot or severe dehydration, the greenkeeper will order a new plant for the next maintenance visit. These plants will be replaced at no additional cost to you.
-
Can I water or move my maintained plants myself?
It's important to always follow the greenkeeper's instructions regarding watering plants. Watering them yourself without consultation can cause the greenkeeper to lose track of the water meter readings, which can negatively affect the plants.
Additionally, moving plants can significantly impact their well-being. Factors such as light exposure and temperature are crucial. For example, a plant that requires a lot of light can suffer or even die if moved to a shaded area.
In short, whether watering or moving plants, it is essential to always follow the greenkeeper's advice to ensure the plants remain healthy.
